The Texas Energy Association for Marketers (TEAM) was established to create a forum for Texas energy market participants to discuss, develop and promote market issues, solutions and resolutions. TEAM provides members with focused monitoring and analysis of key market activities, meetings and proposals. Leveraging strength in numbers, TEAM enables energy market participants to shape policies and processes through a unified voice in the marketplace. The association's focus is multi-faceted across all market, regulatory and legislative sectors with an emphasis on promoting continued market development and initiatives beneficial to both the market and the energy consumer.  Each of the Independent Retail Electric Providers who are members of TEAM came to the market created by Senate Bill 7. On their first day of business, each began with without a single customer. These competitive retailers now serve hundreds of thousands of Texans with retail electric products that their customers choose. TEAM members have worked successfully together to promote their mutual business interests while keeping energy rates competitive for consumers.
